Project:

High Service Pump Station 2-1 Electrical Improvements

Client:

North Texas Municipal Water District

Project consists of improvements to the electrical infrastructure for High Service Pump Station (HSPS) 2-1 at the Wylie Water Treatment Plant. The existing electrical distribution at HSPS 2-1 is fed from the in-Plant 25kV overhead lines. This project will consist of demolishing the existing electrical distribution equipment for HSPS 2-1 and associated wire/conduit. It will provide new electrical distribution equipment including medium voltage switchgear and low voltage motor control center, new wire and conduit to equipment, new electrical building, new PLC, and modifications to overhead service to feed two new transformers.

GAI will perform both the electrical distribution, controls and the instrumentation and HVAC engineering. GAI will develop an SKM model for use during design and provide a full power system study during the construction phase to determine breaker settings, available short circuit, arc flash levels and provide/install appropriate safety labels.
